چکیده
BACKGROUND: Non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy is the second most common after glaucoma. The effectiveness of glucocorticosteroid therapy use for non-arteritic treatment remains a subject debate. Currently, search markers diseases therapeutic window under way.
AIM: aim this study to evaluate local as an emergency care neuropathy.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: 41 patients with were enrolled in study. To nerve head and macula morphometric characteristics, optical coherence tomography was performed, additionally, diameters arteries veins assessed at 4 vascular arcades. Patients divided into 2 groups according presence intraretinal fluid. first (main) group consisted 23 fluid, (control) 18 without fluid included. further two subgroups medical aid recourse periods up 5 days, from 6 21 days (subgroup 1 9 patients, subgroup 14 patients).
RESULTS: Correlations between dynamics edema changes caliber (negative correlation) that (positive revealed. Sub-tenon injection long-acting did not lead morpho-functional improvement patients. Local short-acting accomplished acute period disease made it possible achieve best corrected visual acuity during month any worsening it.
 CONCLUSIONS: When providing onset, advisable.

PURPOSE This study examined the peripapillary choroidal thickness (PCT) in nonarteritic ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION) in comparison to contralateral eyes and normal eyes. METHODS We used enhanced depth imaging spectral-domain optical coherence tomography to image the optic nerve head of 20 NAION, 10 contralateral eyes, and 102 normal eyes. Following compensation, the scans were manually d...
